Water-Supply Planning JSAI has been involved with numerous water-supply plans for municipalities as well as regional water-supply plans throughout New Mexico. We have been the prime consultant for water-supply plans, which included providing professional hydrogeologic services related to ground-water supply, historic water use and water rights, as well as general project management. JSAI has also worked as a subcontractor providing professional hydrogeologic services.
JSAI was the prime consultant for the Estancia Underground Water Basin Regional Water Plan and worked as a subcontractor on the Lea County Regional Water Plan. JSAI worked as a subcontractor on the Lower Rio Grande Regional Water Plan in Dona Ana County, and the Tularosa Basin Regional Water Plan (in coordination with Livingston Associates, P.C.). JSAI prepared the New Mexico Water Resources Assessment for the Interstate Steam Commission and the Office of the State Engineer. This Assessment represents an update of previous state-wide water assessments. A goal of the Assessment is to present, for the surface-water basins of the state and for the state as an entity, a comprehensive summary of the surface-water and ground-water resources that are available under a range of development alternatives. JSAI is currently working on the City of Las Cruces 40-Year Water Supply Plan.
